Sanelli

Sanelli is a historical brand in the cutlery sector: the company was founded in 1864 in Premana, a locality renowned for ironworking, and has over time become a reference point for professionals and cooking enthusiasts worldwide.

MATERIALS AND CONSTRUCTION

Sanelli is synonymous with excellence in cutlery: each knife is the result of a meticulous selection of raw materials and a production process that combines traditional craftsmanship with technological innovation. The materials used for Sanelli knives comply with the strictest hygiene and food safety regulations, ensuring the customer a safe and reliable product for all types of use, both professional and domestic.

  • Precision sharpening. The blades are sharpened using advanced techniques to ensure precise and clean cuts, ideal for the most demanding culinary preparations.
  • High-quality stainless steel. The blades are made of AISI 420 C stainless steel, known for its hardness (58 HRC) and corrosion resistance, guaranteeing long edge life and easy re-sharpening.
  • Ergonomic handle. The handles are designed to provide a secure and comfortable grip, reducing fatigue during prolonged use. In addition, they are made of non-toxic materials and comply with European regulations.

  • Perfect balance. The weight of the knives is perfectly balanced between blade and handle, improving handling and safety during use.
  • Antibacterial protection. Some models include Biomaster technology, a silver ion additive that provides permanent antimicrobial protection.

MAINTENANCE OF SANELLI KNIVES

Correct care and maintenance of Sanelli knives is essential to preserve their efficiency and durability. By following a few simple guidelines, knives can be kept sharp, safe and hygienic at all times, guaranteeing optimal performance in every use.

Cleaning

  • Hand washing. It is advisable to wash knives by hand using normal household detergents. It is important to remove any residue that may remain on the blade, especially near the handle.
  • Washing in a dishwasher. Sanelli knives can be washed in the dishwasher, but it is essential to remove them immediately after the washing cycle to avoid steam and condensation causing stains or corrosion on the blade.
  • Drying. After washing, dry the knives immediately with a clean cloth to avoid limescale stains on the blade.
  • Handle maintenance. Sanelli knife handles are made of materials resistant to temperature changes and corrosive agents, however, it is important to avoid prolonged exposure to aggressive substances and detergents.

Sharpening

  • Sharpening with a sharpening steel. To maintain the edge of the blade, we recommend using a sharpening steel. Pass the sharpening steel over the edge of the knife at an angle of no more than 20°.
  • Sharpening with a grinding wheel. If a grinding wheel is used, it is important to use specific abrasives and coolants to avoid tempering, which could cause the blade to lose its hardness or break.

Storage

  • Avoid contact with hard materials. Do not use the knives on hard surfaces such as ceramic or granite, and do not use them to cut inappropriate materials such as wood or wire.
  • Safe storage. Store knives in a log or on a magnetic bar to prevent the blades from touching each other or other tools, thus preventing damage and maintaining sharpness.

Sanelli knives represent the excellence of the Italian tradition in cutlery, combining craftsmanship and innovation to offer tools of the highest quality. Each knife is designed to guarantee superior performance compared to other knives, safety and durability, making it an indispensable ally in the kitchen.
